Emma Hull to Play Volleyball for SMC
Emma Hull of LaPorte High School and Ignite Volleyball Club has signed her NJCAA Letter of Intent to play volleyball in the 1st Source Bank Fieldhouse for Head Coach Jenny Nate and the Roadrunners.
Coach Nate said of Hull, "Emma is a dynamic, energetic libero with speed and outstanding court presence. She can read the opposing attackers and is a defensive playmaker. She comes from strong high school and club programs at LaPorte and Ignite Volleyball Club, exudes positive energy, hustle, and excitement and makes everyone around her play better when she is on the court. We are thrilled to welcome her to SMC Volleyball and look forward to her playing a major role on our team."
La Porte Head Volleyball Coach TR Harlan added, "Emma is the heart and soul of every team she plays on. She's a fierce competitor that will do anything it takes to win every point. I couldn't be happier or more proud of Emma for accomplishing her goal of playing college volleyball."
Hull's Slicers team was a Conference, Sectional, Regional, and State Qualifier in 2023. She was a team captain and won the digging award in 2024 with 500 digs in one season. She was an All-State nominee and Indy Star Player of the Week nominee in 2024 and was named to the 2024 Indiana High School Volleyball Coaches Association Academic All-State team her senior year.
