VB Sophomore West Wins 3rd Weekly Award

SMC Volleyball sophomore hitter Josie West has earned the MCCAA Western Conference Offensive Player of the Week for the third time this season. West had 24 kills on 40 attempts for a .500 average (which is calculated after subtracting errors) and a mark of eight kills per set. 

West's achievement is the EIGHTH such award for the Roadrunners this season. In addition to West's three OPOWs, sophomore libero Cadence Knight has won Defensive Player of the Week four times and freshman middle hitter Gia Jania has won DPOW once based on her 19 total blocks that week.

The 19-14 Roadrunners host the Glen Oaks Vikings tonight at 6:30pm in the 1st Source Bank Fieldhouse in the wrapup to the regular season.
