SMC Volleyball Splits at LMC Quad
The Southwestern Michigan College Volleyball Team went 1-1 Saturday at the annual LMC Quad, losing the first match to Owens 18-25, 17-25, 20-25 and then beating Harper 25-23, 25-23, 25-27, and 25-21. "Today was a challenging quad facing tough teams which is exactly what we wanted as we head into conference play this week," said Head Coach Jenny Nate. "We are working on consistency in our energy, aggression, and offense. We have to continue to work on playing clean ball while playing to win. We've worked hard on our blocking this past week which really helped us today; we pulled great numbers in that area. Our total focus is on Kellogg now, and we will take a rest day tomorrow after coming off of 13 days of straight play, and then we will hit the gym Monday to prepare."
The Roadrunners are now 17-11 overall and 5-3 tied for second in conference play
