West, Knight Sweep MCCAA Western POW Awards

Sophomores Josie West and Cadence Knight added another sweep to the Roadrunners' young season, winning both MCCAA Western Conference Volleyball Player of the Week awards. 

Over the weekend, West had 51 kills, 45 digs and 5 service aces to win the Offensive award, and Knight racked up 106 digs and 10 aces to earn the Defensive Award. The Roadrunners went 5-1 at the Opening Weekend Tournament in Rockford, Illinois, winning 16 out of 19 sets and sweeping all five teams in their victories.

SMC travels to Ohio on Friday for four matches at the Owens Community College Invitational, beginning with nationally-ranked McHenry County.
