SMC Wrestling Repeats as MCCAA Champs
SMC Wrestling made it two in a row in Port Huron on Saturday, winning the MCCAA Championship in commanding fashion, scoring 124.5 points at the MCCAA Individuals meet in Port Huron. Runner-up Henry Ford scored 55.5, Mott 37, Muskegon 34, Marian Ancilla 33.5 and St. Clair 28.
Sophomore Hunter Heath was named MCCAA Wrestler of the Year. Heath was named Wrestler of the Week back in early November and finishes the conference season with a 26-2 record.

Next up, SMC prepares for the Great Lakes District Tournament in Illinois on February 17. Last year, the Roadunners finished third in the district and nine wrestlers qualified for the NJCAA National Championships in Omaha.
