WBB Season Ends in District Semifinals

Another great season came to an end onm Friday as the SMC Women's Basketball team was eliminated in Great Lakes District C Semifinal #1, 78-61, by the Mid-Michigan Lakers. The Roadrunners shot well from beyond the arc at 41.2%, but were not able to overcome the Lakers' backdoor cuts and efficiency. SMC was led in the effort by freshman guards Rayvan Rush with 12 points, Morganne Postell with 11 and Olivia Robinson with 11. In her last game as a Roadrunner, sophomore Amara Palmer had eight points, four steals, three assists and three rebounds. 

 

The Roadrunners finished the season 21-10 overall, 9-5 in conference. They defended the 1st Source Bank Fieldhouse home court fiercely, going 13-2.
