WBB Loses Close at Marian Ancilla

SMC Women's Basketball played a tight game in their conference opener at Marian Ancilla, but lost a close one in the fourth quarter, 67-65. The Roadrunners led by one point after the first quarter and at halftime, and by two after Q3, but were outscored in the fourth by four for the final margin.  

SMC was led by freshman Rayvan Rush with 23 points, freshman Shiyah Forte added 16 and sophomore Amara Palmer put in 12. The Roadrunners shot 72% from the free throw line but just 34% overall from the field, turning the ball over 21 times. 

Conference play continues at Kellogg Community College on Wednesday, January 15.
