SMC WBB Are District Champions
The SMC Women's Basketball Team won Great Lakes District B and have earned a trip to the NJCAA National Championship.
The Roadrunners earned some more payback Saturday afternoon for last week's defeat and beat the St. Clair Skippers in their rematch 69-56 to win their district bracket.
Again the sophomores led the way with Cameron Thomas putting in 21. Macey Laubach double-doubled with 20 points and 15 rebounds, and Nalani Williams also got a a dub-dub with 14 and 17. Ariana Lemons had 5 points and 4 rebounds.
The 20-team National tournament begins at the Leggett & Platt Athletic Center in Joplin, Missouri, on Monday, March 18.
