Carlos Ruiz-Garcia Runs to SMC
Carlos Ruiz-Garcia of Hartford High School has signed his NJCAA Letter of Intent to run cross country for Coach Zac Sartori and the Roadrunners. Ruiz-Garcia will also compete in track and field for SMC.
Coach Sartori said, "Carlos has come on so strong over the past two years. I think he is just starting to tap into his potential. I'm very excited to see him grow as a runner."
Coach Doug Paran of Hartford added, "Carlos has been great to work with in track and cross country over these past 4 years. He is a 'student' of training programs and it is like having an assistant coach on the team! A regional two-mile champion in track and three-year all conference cross country runner, he has worked very hard to develop his running ability. I expect Carlos to continue to make great strides at SMC!"
Ruiz-Garcia is the first member of SMC's 2025 Men's Cross Country recruiting class.
Student-athletes interested in competing on any of SMC's nine intercollegiate teams as a Roadrunner should complete the Recruiting Form at https://smcroadrunners.com/landing/index
