John Sanderson Signs with the Roadrunners

John Sanderson of Bridgman High School has signed his NJCAA Letter of Intent to run cross country for Coach Zac Sartori and the Roadrunners.

"When John called me the other day to commit to Southwestern Michigan College, I was thrilled," Sartori said. "He is an excellent runner and a talented all-around athlete. I know that John will make a big impact on our program right from the start and I feel blessed that he's decided to join us."

Sanderson joins Evan Stacy of Portage Northern, Ethan Glick of Constantine and Donnell Chaney of Roubichaud in the 2023 Men's Cross Country recruiting class.

Following a 25-year hiatus, SMC's legendary cross country teams returned to competition in 2021. In 2022, the men's and women's teams were nationally ranked the entire season, finishing in the top four at the NJCAA Region XII meet in Grand Rapids and in the top 16 at the NJCAA Division II National Championships in Tallahassee, Florida.
