Antwan Callahan, Jr. Picks the Roadrunners

Antwan "Chick" Callahan, Jr. of Benton Harbor High School has signed his NJCAA Letter of Intent to continue his academic and basketball career in the 1st Source Bank Fieldhouse with Coach Rodell Davis and the Roadrunners.

Coach Corey Sterling of Benton Harbor said, "Antwan Callahan is the ultimate leader and competitor. He has a high court vision and is a top tier on-ball defender."

Coach Davis added, "We are excited to have Antwan join the Roadrunner family. He is a true floor general and leader. He ran the show for a great high school squad that finished with a record of 24-2. He is also a defensive-minded guard that will help anchor our perimeter defense."

Callahan is the first member of the 2024 SMC Men's Basketball recruiting class.

After a 26-year hiatus, the SMC's Men's Basketball Team returned to action in the newly-renovated 1st Source Bank Fieldhouse for the 2022-23 season. In their first year back, with an all-freshman team, the Roadrunners compiled a 15-11 overall record, went 6-6 in the MCCAA Western Conference and qualified for the postseason Great Lakes District A Tournament.

This year, the Roadrunners improved to 16-12 (7-5 in conference) and hosted a home playoff game in Round 1 of the Great Lakes District C Tournament.
