Men's Basketball Season Ends in District Round 1

SMC went down 10-3 early and had trouble getting in synch, turning the ball over on three consecutive possessions. The Roadrunners made a run at the end of the first half but went into the break still down 7.

In a physical contest, both teams had multiple technical fouls. SMC went with a smaller lineup after freshman Aries Hull was disqualified with two techs, and the Roadrunners made a serious charge in the middle of the second half, cutting the deficit to just two points. But they weren't able to get all the way over the hump and Kellogg was able to pull away on late free throws.

 

SMC finishes the season 16-12 overall and 11-7 at home.
