SMC Men's Basketball 1-1 at Red Hawk Showcase

The SMC men's basketball team split their games at the Red Hawk Showcase in Benton Harbor over the weekend.

The Roadrunners fell in their first game of the Red Hawk Showcase by a score of 75-42 to the Macomb Monarchs, who are ranked #7 nationally in NJCAA Division II. Mari Nichols led the Roadrunners with 12 points, and Rashawn Bost added 9.

After trailing by eight points at the break in Game 2 on Saturday, the Roadrunners came out on fire in the second half and blew by the North Central Michigan Timberwolves to take the win by 13. SMC got 22 each from Mari Nichols and Rashawn Bost, plus 15 from Mark Williams, who was just shy of another double-double with 9 rebounds.

Next up for the man: Kennedy King College at the 1st Source Bank Fieldhouse on Thursday, 11/10 at 7:30pm.
