Ladybirds Brighten Dowagiac Parade

The SMC Ladybirds kept the tradition of dancing in Dowagiac's Candlelight Christmas Parade on Friday.

Sophomore Allie Pleyer and freshmen Makenzi Carroll, Jewel Cooper and Ella Wilson joined the parade and marched in festive holiday outfits to represent SMC in the parade. 

Kicking off at 7 p.m., the parade featured more than 100 floats and units. Heralded as one of the largest Christmas parades in southwest Michigan, it featured many floats, including the Miss Dowagiac Court of Honor, Southwestern Michigan College, Santa Claus and many more.
