Chelsea Behnke Now a Roadrunner

Chelsea Behnke of Dowagiac Union High School has signed her NJCAA Letter of Intent to run cross country for Head Coach Zac Sartori and the Roadrunners.

Sartori said of Behnke, "Chelsea comes to us with a full-time job, two children, a mortgage and a full load of classes. She's an inspiration to all of those young people out there who've made the choice to return to college to continue their education and I'm so proud that we get to guide her on this journey. This is one of the many great things about a community college – athletes from all walks of life have the chance to compete at a high level and improve. I'm really looking forward to how she develops as a runner."

During Fall 2023, the men's and women's teams were nationally ranked the entire season, both finishing as runners-up in the NJCAA Region XII meet in Grand Rapids. The women then finished #12 and the men were #17 at the NJCAA Division II National Championships in Birmingham, Alabama.

The 2024 cross country season officially begins today, August 1.
